Penny Lorain is the founder and driving force behind Lorain Design Associates. 

She is a UC Davis graduate in Design with High Honors and has earned the Remodeling Specialty Badge with the National Kitchen and Bath Association.

After an early career in architecture, Penny soon realized interior design and remodel planning were her true passions. She has been designing and managing inspirational projects for nearly 20 years since then. Penny combines her knowledge of construction methods with the best design principles and materials to create unique projects for every client. Penny firmly believes that great design must be both stunningly beautiful and functional. 

Carrie King has over 18 years of professional interior design experience with extensive knowledge and training in the complexities of Kitchens and Bath remodeling. Also a graduate of the UC Davis Department of Design, Carrie has earned the Cabinetry Specialist Badge with the National Kitchen and Bath Association. She designed and managed several Kitchen Design Showrooms in the local area as the Lead Designer before joining the Lorain Design team. Carrie enjoys translating her clients' wish list into the home or kitchen of their dreams.

Melyssa Lee is our senior Chief Architect CAD draftswoman and another UCD graduate in Design. Melyssa develops realistic perspective renderings to show clients how their completed projects will look before any work  begins. Melyssa also drafts the architectural drawing sets we prepare for submittal to the City Planning and Building Departments and for use by our trusted General Contractors. Melyssa's design skills and business acumen contribute to our company's success in almost every venue.
